From the late fifth century to the early sixth century is the setting for a beloved British figure of some romantic significance. It is the time period King Arthur and Knights of The Round Table are believed to have loved and reigned and ruled in Camelot.
While Arthur fought the Saxons, the pretenders to his kingdom and his throne, he was engaged with Lancelot on another front for the affection and devotion of his beloved Guinevere.
Queen Guinevere was, according to legend, beautiful and desirable beyond belief, and she won the heart of Arthur. Think of it as a May to December romance and we begin to get the flavor and depth of the matters of the heart at conflict with the urgencies of the day.
Today it most simply known as the time of Camelot, but it was destined to be seen again, and maybe even a third time is on the horizon. At least we would like to think so. Several centuries passed after the exploits of King Arthur and a new nation in the west, in the views of many, captured the Age of Camelot again. The one thousand days of the presidency of John (Jack) Kennedy.
Kennedy with his vivacious wife Jackie captured the imagination of the world. Here was a young, beautiful, idealistic couple from family dynasties that dreamed of and led a nation towards a better place in time, in history, in the heart, and in caring for all its peoples.
Perhaps less than a century after Jack and Jackie we can relive Camelot just one more time. What a dream for those of us who are old enough to remember the young couple seemingly so in love, so charismatic, so vibrant, such dreamers with such social grace raising their small children in the White House.
Sure times have changed. Some changes have been good fulfilling the dreams of Jack Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy. Many others have not been so good. Life is easier though it is harder. Life is more, much more, complicated often requiring two people in a family to be gainfully employed full time to support their children at the same standard of one working adult during the day of Kennedy’s Camelot.
Fifty two inch flat screen LCD and Plasma high definition televisions have replaced the six inch black and white TV screen. Cable has replaced the rabbit ears and outdoor antennas of that era. Hundreds of available television stations have replaced the big three.
Sirius Radio has replaced FM radio which replaced AM. Twenty four hour news channels like FOX, MSNBC, and CNN have replaced Huntly and Brinkley, and the complacency of the people have replaced the hope of the nation during Jack and Jackie’s Camelot.
Big box stores have replaced mom and pop shops. Huge corporate stores have replaced the corner market, and the Piggly Wiggly’s of the world have replaced the local grocery store where a family could get what they needed and pay for it on pay day in the name of progress. But are we really better off? Is it better where there are more homeless? Is it better when more kids go to bed cold and hungry? Are we a better nation when the veteran, the elderly, and the sick have to chose between food and medicine?
In a time when half of all marriages end in divorce and far too many children are being raised in a single parent home, can we do better? Can we recapture the Age of Camelot? America is disenchanted. Can we recapture the dream? Can we recharge the dreamers? We need another Walt Disney for our passtime and another John Kennedy for our country. As much as we love
America, can we make her better?
Senator Barack Obama and his queen, the beautiful Michelle Obama, think so. Do you believe? Have you caught the fever? The more we look at this young, beautiful, educated, caring, engaging couple with their hopes and dreams for the United States the more we are inclined to once again believe in Camelot. Has the Age of Camelot arrived for a second time in our life time? Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of America’s first era of Camelot, thinks so.

If you backup, you are one step away from a disaster. If you backup often, make it several steps. Learn how often to backup and how to make your own backup schedule.
Surely, one can backup to whatever backup medium he wants, but if one does not stick to a backup schedule, most of the efforts, aimed at storing or securing the important information will be spent in vain.
First, we need to figure out what we are backing up, as the backup schedule largely depends on the size of the backup data:
- small amounts of data (important work documents) can be backed up often, hourly, daily and at least weekly
- medium amounts of files (e-mail messages, project documents and work documents) can be backed up daily, weekly or monthly (at least)
- large amounts of data (e-mail messages, project documents, data files, settings files, etc) can be backed up weekly or monthly
- huge amounts of data (all of the above plus images, audios – mp3s and videos – mpegs) can be backed up monthly or yearly
- total backup (a backup of all the data on the computer) can be backed up weekly, monthly or yearly.
Which backup schedule to choose is up to you, but you will also need to choose a backup software to do that and set up the time when to perform a scheduled backup.
First of all, the backup software needs to support the backup medium you want to backup (CD, DVD, FTP, LAN, external USB or flash drive, etc). Next, you select the files you want to backup, choose the time you want to backup and leave it there. Some programs can run as a service and don’t need to be launched, but some need to be running when you want the backup to be run. At any case, the computer has to be on at the time of your backup schedule.
Think the time of a backup schedule doesn’t matter? What if it runs during your work day and slows down your work computer for an hour or two? To keep working _and_ to stick to the backup schedule, simply set the backup to run a couple of hours before or after your working time. This way you won’t be interrupted with a scheduled backup.

While computers today are generally cheaper than models sold years ago, they still represent a major investment. Quality new computers can cost anywhere from $500 – $1500, depending upon capabilities. Clearly, it is a purchase that deserves your full attention and thought. Speaking of thought, have you ever considered buying a used or refurbished computer? These computers can represent a major savings to you, without loss of performance. However, there are some things you should know before looking into these alternatives to new computers. In this article, well discuss some tips in buying used and refurbished computers.
The first thing to consider when buying used and refurbished computers is the brand. While there are many different companies that specialize in selling used computers, it might be best to go with a reputable brand name. The reasons are two-fold. First, you can be sure that the parts used in manufacturing are of a high quality. Second, you will also be able to secure some type of warranty, which may not be offered by other dealers.
The next tip in buying used and refurbished computers is to make sure that that you receive the proper software documents and licenses. Often times people try to pass off stolen computers as used, so it is important to request the paperwork upfront. It is also important to have this software in case you need to do any type of system restore or back-up.
It is also important that you try any refurbished computer before you buy. Most reputable dealers will allow you to use the computer for a short period of time to check out before committing to purchase. What are a few of the things you should be looking for? Make sure that all installed programs boot up and perform correctly. Do a thorough check of all graphics, video, and sound drivers and also make sure other accessories work properly (mouse, monitor, keyboard, etc.). Lastly, be sure to check all CD and disk drives to make sure they open and close correctly.
Another thing to consider when buying a used or refurbished computer is the support option. Does the company you want to buy from have ample support staff available? And are the hours convenient with your own schedule? If a business does not offer support for the system you are considering, it is best to move on to another choice.
Lastly, make sure that you are safe if shopping online for your used or refurbished computer. The internet can pose many dangers, so protect your personal information on any site that you choose to do business with. A quality site will have some type of encryption service in place to keep your financial transaction private.
We hope that these tips in buying used and refurbished computers will help you make a more informed shopping decision. In addition to the tips mentioned in this article, using common sense will help ensure that you receive the best used computer for your needs, at a terrific value.

Xbox360, the latest version of the video game console that has been manufactured by Microsoft, was a term that was finally arrived at by the computer software company last year. This was after a marketing firm that it hired conducted a survey which asked people whether they thought the Xbox evoked a more “next generation” or “next-gen” sound. It was apparent that Microsoft was having worries at that time that sticking to Xbox2 as the name of its new video game console would make it appear or sound older or less “cutting-edge” than its main rival, the PlayStation 3 or PS3.
Keeping such a concept in mind, Microsoft recently announced that it has successfully produced a set of fresh 360 backwards compatibility update of the Xbox which the firm is scheduled to release anytime within the week. This is in keeping with the company’s commitment to concentrate on the continuous improvement of the console’s features. Peter Moore, the game’s top honcho, said the updates are presently having their final testing at Microsoft. Once completed, these will be released to the market sometime this week.
Aside from the compatibility updates, the Xbox360 is also reported to have a special feature that has the capability to perform maintenance functions in the console’s storage devices. A player, who recently purchased a copy of the video game, said the console’s cache can be cleared simply by going to the system blade, then to its memory. From there, the player said, one can press Y on either the HDD or the MU. The said player consequently posted his observations on one of the console’s numerous websites.
A Microsoft representative did confirm the existence of the said feature. However, he tried to make it clear to those who purchased the console that while the HDD clearing feature is a part of the game’s entire electronic processing system, it is also a part of the technical support process. Ideally, it should only be utilized in instances when technical operations are involved. Moore said that while the said Xbox360 feature, when utilized, will not really harm or cause severe damage to the console, still it is advisable that it be used sparingly and only upon proper instructions from a qualified Microsoft customer service staff.
The latest model of the Xbox is considerably much smaller in size than its predecessor. It also has the obvious looks of a 21st century set top box. In addition, the game also contains a removable hard drive that is located on the left side of the console.
In general, the Xbox360 is, for all intents and purposes, a most powerful console, a truly next generation video game that has amazing top-of-the-line and cutting-edge features. It promises to provide an amazing digital visual enjoyment. The latest Xbox has a variety of hot as well as new game titles ranging from science-fiction, to adventure, to action, to sports, and to practically anything that the human mind can imagine.

What is a torrent file and how does it work?
A torrent file is the file that is transferred among users using the torrent technology. The file extension used by torrent files is .torrent. Torrent files, when added into a torrent application, can be distributed among numerous amounts of people without the need of any major hardware costs and server fees on a particular individual. This is because each user supplies bits of the full torrent file to users without those particular bits, while receiving bits that they do not yet have. Therefore, torrent files can also be shared relatively quickly.
History
Torrent technology was first planned and developed by Bram Cohen in April 2001. After months of development, it first went public in 2 July, 2001. Today, Cohens technology is widely used. Although there are no specific measurements, it is considered as one of the most significantly used protocols in the Internet today.
Behind the Technology
The torrent technology is operated by a torrent client sending bits of the torrent file through a torrent protocol. A torrent client would be for example a personal computer while the torrent file can be of any file in the .torrent format.
For the sharing to begin, first a user must create a .torrent file (eg. File.torrent). A torrent file contains information, such as the tracker, the main computer distributing the file first, and the metadata, information about the files in the torrent file. People wishing to obtain the information must first download the torrent file (in this case, File.torrent), run it with their torrent application, and then connect with the tracker, which will give orders on where to download what bits of the torrent file.
Torrent Files vs. HTTP Files
Although torrent files and its sharing are technically a transfer of files over the network, it has its strengths compared to the old-school HTTP downloading style. Firstly, when downloading files, web browsers will make one HTTP GET request through one TCP socket. However, torrent files make numerous amounts of small data requests over many TCP sockets. Also, HTTP will download in an orderwhat is first will be downloaded first; however torrents download in a random waywhatever is of high availability will be downloaded first.
This is exactly why the torrent files have its strengths; it doesnt need much financial back, it has a higher redundancy, and a better resistance to potential abuse from flash crowds than what would be a frequent thing with HTTPs. However, as with everything, there is a downside. It takes a bit of time for downloads to be running in full throttle, as connecting to other peers can tae time. Also, becoming an effective uploader also takes time. Not to forget, while torrent file downloading will reach immensely high speeds, the speed will eventually fall near the end of the download as availability of the bits of the torrent file decrease.
Sharing Torrents and Files
First a user browses through the Internet looking for torrent files. Once a torrent file is obtained, the user will connect it through a torrent application and connect with the tracker. Then, the user will begin to download off of seeders and a group of peers known as the swarm. If there is one seeder, the user will directly connect to that seeder and begin to download, but eventually start to exchange files with other peers too, which lessens the burden on the seeder.
Applications of Torrent Files
Surprisingly, torrent files are widely used today by many individuals and some corporations.
Some bands like Ween uses torrent files to distribute their free albums
.torrent files are increasingly used by Podcasters to meet the high demands of these radio MP3s
The game Americas Army uses torrent files to release their updates and patches for the games
An immense number of open source and free softwares utilize torrent files to increase availability and awareness of the projects
Torrent Files Limitations
Although torrent files seem to be another great way to download and share files, it has some limitations such as security issues.
IP Address Exposed: The use of torrent files can lead to anonymity issues, as all IP addresses of current and potentially previous swarm users can be found and abused
Internet Speeds: It is best to use broadband when sharing torrent files, so dial-up users cannot take full advantage of the torrent technology
Leeching Problem: While sharing torrent files is good, it doesnt have many incentives behind it. Thus, there is no real reason to continue to seed after the download has finished. To fix this issue, some torrent sites have begun to limit the download speeds of users who do not upload often.
Free Torrent Applications to Download Torrent Files
In todays market there are both quality free open source and paid products to download torrent files.
BitTorrent: BitTorrent is the first and official torrent client made by Bram Cohen himself. It is supported in major operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Apple, and Linux.
Azuerus (Vuze): This is also a widely used torrent client first released in SourceForge in June 2003. Released under the GNU General Public License, Azuerus is a constantly developed, free client.
Torrent (uTorrent): uTorrent, also known as microTorrent, is a torrent client written in C++. Because of its small size but a powerful interface, it is another widely used free torrent client. It was first released on December 7, 2006 between BitTorrent, Inc. and Ludvig Strigeus, but was later fully acquired by BitTorrent, Inc. because of the applications popularity, size, and power.

Anonymous email is a means of sending a message without revealing your identity. You may use it for personal email or chat, private business emails, and posting sites. It protects your privacy from unwanted communications or solicitations.
Uses for Anonymous Email
Sometimes you might wish you could talk to someone about a problem, but you think they will misunderstand or be offended. So, you never do it. Avoiding the problem can lead to greater problems. One solution to addressing distasteful issues is through anonymous email. On the other hand, you might like to compliment someone on a job well done but do not want to call attention to yourself. This is where sending an anonymous e mail would be a good thing to do.
Protect Your Privacy
Sending an anonymous email is an inventive way to protect your privacy. You will be able to express your feelings and opinions without fear of reprisal or censure. Setting up anonymous email accounts is simple to do with companies online who offer this service. By using their server, your emails cannot be traced back to you. Your messages are sent to the recipient with the server’s address. If they choose to reply, the message is sent to your server where you may retrieve it. It is different than private label email, which provides a separate address for you.
Contact Your Educational Facility
Some educational facilities are seeing the need to gain knowledge of opinions and views in a more confidential manner. Some of the sites that offer anonymous email have a list of school facilities that have registered to receive email from them. Even if they have not, you may use your anonymous email account to send communications.
If you’re a school principal or superintendent, there are positive grounds for using anonymous email. Your faculty might be more willing to speak out and point out trouble areas if they were not concerned about unpleasant consequences. They may feel more comfortable to speak out by remaining anonymous.
Parents and students may sometimes feel their opinion would not be heard in a respectable or reasonable manner so they hesitate to approach anyone in authority. The use of anonymous e mail makes it easier to report inappropriate behavior or dishonest practices by faculty or students without severe consequences or penalties.
Positive Anonymous Email
Anonymous email is not to be used to harass, threaten, or deceive others. It should be considered a privilege to voice your opinion or ideas anonymously. You don’t have to use it only to complain. Use it to make positive comments or to offer constructive criticism. If you would like to see things improve, have a supportive approach and a helpful attitude.
Using your anonymous email is an excellent mode of communication. When you see a need that should be addressed, don’t hesitate out of fear or embarrassment. Send a message that will help build integrity and trust in your learning environment.

For years Apple computers has been pushing their own processors and operating systems but it seems the tides are turning. Apple recently announced their new range of desktops and notebooks sporting dual core Intel processors.
This is an interesting move on both the part of Intel and Apple. Apple has made a deal with the devil so to speak by opting to use the Intel dual core processors. For years they have been fighting it but it seems they have finally given in.
Whats more interesting is the fact that Intel are putting their dual core processors into the macs. This is to me is a sign of desperation on Intels part. For years they have been dominating the processor market with little threat from the other major processor manufacturer AMD. But recently, with their 64 bit dual core and server processors, AMD has been clawing back the market. With big players like DELL and HP starting to offer Opteron process made by AMD its no wonder Intel feels threatened.
The new Apple computers will even be able to run Windows operating systems which further monopolizes the market for Microsoft. The macs are using the Pentium D dual core processors which were released a while after AMD released their dual core range. This jump AMD has on Intel is proving costly for them in terms of processor sales.
Who knows what the future will bring for this new partnership. Apple supporting Intel processors would not have even crossed my mind a year ago but here we are. Although the Intel dual core processors are a lot cheaper than the AMD dual core offerings, AMD sales still seem to be soaring while Intel processor sales are on a steady decline. If Intel doesnt step up the game soon they will be where AMD was 3 years ago.
