Okay, you have purchased your new computer, and maybe some office furniture, now it is time to buy the PC accessories you need. One basic computer accessory that almost everyone will need at some point is a good printer. Epson printers offer good quality and a wide range to choose from.
Epson printers come as inkjet printers, photo printers, laser printers, point of sale printers, and all in one printers. Ink jet printers are probably the most widely purchased for home use. Epson printers range in price from $59.99 to $850.00. Prices vary depending upon printing speed, photo capability, ink types, and dpi. For basic home use, the Epson Stylus c68 printer should cover all of your basic needs, and is priced at $59.99 on the Epson website. This Epson printer prints well on paper and photo paper, and has its own individual ink cartridges, which can be a plus budget wise. In standard black text, it prints at speeds up to 17ppm.
If your Epson printer will primarily be used for photos, you may want to consider some of the more expensive models, depending on the quality pictures you want. Some of the higher end Epson printers can actually use archival ink, which is guaranteed to last for a long time, usually even longer than your regular prints from the photo lab. Many of these printers also print on ink jet CDs and DVDs, giving you more options to store your memories.
Epson also features a photo printer called PictureMate, which gives you prints that are comparable or better than your local photo lab prints. The pictures on this printer are said to last up to four times longer, and are stated to be water and smudge proof. On average, your prints will cost you around twenty nine cents each with this printer. If you are a serious photo person, this printer would probably work well for you, assuming it fits into your budget.
Laser printers from Epson range in price from $600-$700, and are Ethernet compatible. If you are running a business, and need a lot of basic black and white documents, a laser printer is probably the best, most cost effective option for you. Laser printers also tend to be much faster than ink jet printers, because they focus more on speed and quantity than quality. Some Epson laser printers also have built in fax machines, letting them serve as two pieces of office equipment in one unit.
Point of sale printers are widely used in large business and retail stores, and Epson is a common preferred brand name.
Many people like the Epson line of all in one printers, as they can do many tasks without having to buy different equipment for each task. These all in one printers are priced from $89 on the low end, to $400 for top of the line. Many of these Epson printers are able to print straight from the memory card of your digital camera, making it much easier to get the prints you need. Some offer both black and white and color copying capabilities. Other models also come equipped to send and receive faxes as well.
Basically, when you are ready to buy your Epson printer, you should think about what its primary function will be, and buy the printer that is best suited for that task and meets your budget. Epson printers come with good warranties, and Epson offers great tech support and customer service, which is always good, especially if you are going to be purchasing one of the more expensive models.

Router is a computer device that receives or forwards data packets to and from the Internet towards a destination in the process called routing. Router is the essential component of the computer networking that enables any sent data to arrive at the right destination.
As an illustration, imagine that the Internet is the world and one computer is one household. Other computers connected through the Internet are households around the world. Say one household will send a letter to another household in any part of the world. The letter has an address right? And that address would determine the destination of the letter. But without one reading the address, the letter would not arrive to the right receiver. The letter also would not be able to reach the intended receiver if there is not medium. This medium would be the courier. And the courier of the computer data is the router.
A router (broadband router) is also a device that enables two or more computer to receive data packets from the Internet under one IP address at the same time.
Remember that to be able to connect to the Internet, a computer must have an IP address unique from the rest of the computers. Therefore, every computer connected to the Internet has it own IP address. It is like having a fingerprint or ID as an access pass to be able to enter the web. With the presence of the router, this fingerprint or ID could be shared by two or more computer at the same time.
In simplest form, a router makes two or more computer use the Internet at the same with one access pass.
One more thing: a computer with cable modem could also be considered as a router. In this, the computer would do the process of routing like normal routers do. Other computers are then connected to the computer with Internet connection that would give it with the Internet connection. The computer with cable modem has the direct contact with the Internet and the ones connected to it are sharing the connection.
Why would anyone need a router?
For households with two or more computers who would want to have Internet connection to every computers they have, taking subscription for each would be too much. The solution is to buy a router that would enable every computer in the house to have an Internet connection. In the definition above, the broadband router would act as a hub to the existing Internet connection.
If the router is comparable to a hub, would it affect the Internet speed?
It should be taken into consideration that once a single Internet connection is divided, the connection speed is affected. But there are some broadband routers that would bring minimal slowdown to the Internet speed and the effect might not even be big.
Internet speed would also depend on the type of application used in a router. While some would inflict little effect on the speed like online games, others would terribly slowdown your connection and even hinder you to use the Internet at all.
Usually, offices use a more sophisticated router to redirect Internet connections to the large number of computers. These routers would give better data packeting compared to a typical router used at home that results to faster Internet speed.

A Discount Toner Cartridge is Better Than Ever and…You Will Save 50% or More
Having used discount toner cartridges for twenty years, there have been a lot of changes in the toner cartridge market. The market today is approximately a twenty billion dollar business. The savings today are significant. The quality of the discount cartridges is unsurpassed. To insure your complete satisfaction in purchasing discount toner, take a minute to make an informed choice.
Discount toner cartridges were originally sold as recycled toner cartridges. The basic recycling method consisted of drilling a hole in the cartridge and refilling it with toner. Once the cartridge was filled, the hole was plugged. This toner cartridge was then sold to the consumer as a great deal or a “discount toner cartridge”.
The problem was that the drill and fill cartridges produced poor quality and printed fewer pages. They were very inconsistent from cartridge to cartridge. In short, there was no quality control. One discount toner cartridge might perform great and the next may not.
However, things have changed significantly. Today, discount toner cartridges are brand new cartridges made from brand new parts… the same parts specified in your OEM printer manual. The technology is the same as that used by major printer manufacturers. Today, a reputable discount toner company uses the same components as major printer companies. Their toner, drums and rollers are the same quality and specification.
Know What Type of Toner Cartridge You Are Purchasing
Discount toner cartridges sometimes has a dual meaning. When some companies use the term discount toner cartridge, they really mean remanufactured toner cartridges. When other companies use the term discount toner cartridge, they mean a new toner cartridge manufactured by a third party merchant. Both types of cartridges could be a good buy.
Learn About the Toner Company
Be sure you learn about the company you buy toner from. All companies are not the same. Remember, a remanufactured toner cartridge can be as good of quality as a new discount toner cartridge. Both types of toner cartridges will save you a significant amount of money.
The best suppliers of discount toner cartridges have a quality control process in place. They insure that their toner cartridges are checked and double-checked so that you get high quality printing and the same number of pages or more. If a cartridge is remanufactured, any parts that do not meet their standards are replaced. You should be satisfied with the first and last page of printing.
You may not know everything about a printer company before you purchase, but you can find out exactly what type of discount toner cartridge you are buying. Look at our section on purchasing discount toner cartridges online. This will give you some basic information on what to look for in a toner cartridge merchant.
Good companies offer good warranties. You should always get a strong money back guarantee. If a company does not warranty their toner cartridges for one year, you haven’t found the right company.
Do your homework. Visit the websites of several reputable toner companies. Find your exact toner cartridge. Compare prices, warranties, shipping, service, etc. If you can talk with someone that has purchased from the company, do it. Once you’ve done your part, purchase a discount toner cartridge and test it out. Discount toner cartridges are better than ever and will reduce your printing cost by half or more.

It is not a secret for anyone that casinos do not like blackjack counters and frequently ask them to leave or to play another game. Here, we will describe how casino management detects counters and how to act when caught. We also describe the countermeasures that casinos use against skilled players but most of all we show you how to count cards while not getting caught.
Do Casinos Object?
Most casinos have strict policies that ban any player from counting cards when playing blackjack, but some like those in New Jersey do not pay any attention to such players.
How Do You Know Whether A Casino Minds?
You do not. But you had better act as if they all do and thus save yourself the embarressment of being shoved out if they do mind and if they catch you red-handed.
How to Count Without Getting Detected?
Always keep in mind that since card counting is something that one does silently, the only method to detect it is through observing you and the manner you play. Thus, look out for the following:
1) Do not stare at the cards of other players. Glance once, count, and then move on.
2) Do not stare at the cards that have been discarded. Look quickly and then slowly move away by shifting your gaze nonchalantly from player to player.
3) Change your pattern of betting occassionaly.
4) Change the amount of betting money each round.
5) Even though you know it, loose a round or two. Do not bet big on those rounds. But likewise do not bet too small too. If the casino notices that you are always winning big and losing small, they might get suspicious.
6) Buy chips of different colours and then mix them around while playing to confuse the dealer.
7) Talk to the other players while playing, but this is especially difficult so practice this at home before trying it at a casino. Pick your seat carefully: either the first chair or the third one so that you won’t have to twist your head around as the cards are dealt.
9) Dress casually because smart and elegant clothes cause the dealers to think you are intelligent and they might watch you more closely.
10) Order an alcoholic drink and pretend to sip it because they are looking for those non-drinkers who are staying sober to count the cards.
The common denominator of all these is that you must never forget that the casino si watching you and how you play. Act accordingly!
Supposing that the Casino Catches On, What Should you Do?
Stay calm if the casino catches you counting cards and abide by their wishes quietely. Do not make a fuss. If they ask you to leave, do so. The faster you leave, the easier it will be for you to return later. Remember that if you make a fuss, they will all remember you, so desist from any unfriendly behaviour. Note that after shifts change, the new personnel won’t know you so all you have to do is wait for that and then you can start playing again. You could also just enter the next casino and start earning money there instead of risking casino personnel from recognizing you.

In the world of web development, the choice of which development language to use commonly comes down to two popular choices. Web applications, specifically those relying on back end databases, are typically being created using either Microsoft’s ASP.Net language, or the Open Source alternative language of PHP. Reasons why one might choose one over the other can include: The cost of development tools, or availability of such tools, or even ones comfort level with the Open Source initiative. The goal of this article is to provide some perspective on reasons why one might choose one over the other.
Active Server Pages or ASP has long been an option for creating dynamic web content. Active Server Pages facilitates the ability to use databases such as Access or SQL just to name a few, to create dynamic, feature rich websites. The work going on behind the scenes in serving up the dynamic content is being done at the server level by the Active Server Pages source code. Microsoft has spent a great deal of time and resources promoting their .Net family of programming languages of which ASP.Net is a member. In order to develop with ASP.Net one must obtain the extremely expensive Microsoft Visual Studio Programming Suite. While expensive, Visual Studio is an asset to any programmer due to its vast amount of features. As with all of Microsoft’s products, support and updates are constantly made available for ASP.Net. The shear amount of features that Microsoft packs into Visual Studio, coupled with Microsoft’s extensive support make certainly make ASP.Net an attractive solution for any corporation’s web development needs, but the cost can be prohibitive, if not impossible to afford for the individual web developer.
PHP which is in its 5th revision now, is an Open Source web development language that also facilitates the creation of feature rich, dynamic websites that can use databases. Being Open Source means simply that PHP isn’t owned by anyone. Just as with Active Server Pages, the work going on behind the scenes of serving up the dynamic web content is being done by PHP at the server level. As with most Open Source products, the resources available to a PHP developer are free of charge. This makes PHP extremely attractive to the independent web developer. There are some commercial quality development suites available from companies like Zend, but there is also wealth of free resources just a Google Search away. Because there is really no corporate entity behind PHP, support and development on PHP is done by the community of its users and developers themselves. Surprisingly this does not seem to adversely affect the ability to find support for PHP.
All in all, ASP.Net and PHP are both excellent options, offering basically the same functionality. Whether the decision comes down to the cost of initial investment, or the comfort level one has regarding Open Source, or something else entirely, the end result depends upon the mastery of whichever language is chosen.

For any Myspace account to have maximum visibility, the features and components on the layout has to be enhanced. The layout will form the base and act as the key to host a variety of feature such as text, data, and images, audio and video files. The layout design assistance can be sought from various sites on the Internet.
One of the major methods in which an account holder can ensure maximum hits to the Myspace site is to spice up the page by adding a variety of features through the layout level. The features could include images, more of landscape art and a plenty of colors. However, to bring all of these on a common platform, you need an appropriate Myspace web page background through layout format. With an appropriate layout, the Myspace web page can be well built to add a number of premium features. The feature rich web page needs a good layout that can host all of them. A layout loaded with plenty of visual features can produce a bad effect on the web page, ultimately leading to poor design. It could also mean the Internet traffic to the web site could slow down. Besides, the opening of the Myspace web page could slow down if the features are heavy and the layout do not support them. In an effort to make the web page appropriate in terms of features and background, design the layout carefully. Make sure that the codes are appropriate and are in synchronization with the designs of the web page and the layout. If the codes of the layout do not match with the web page, there are chances that the entire Myspace page could be damaged. Ultimately, the recovery of the Myspace page could become problematic. It could be damaged permanently. Therefore, the best option is to download the pages with the codes and install them on the Myspace page at the layout level itself.
There are two options to download the layouts for the Myspace page. The first option is free downloads from popular sites and the second option is to go for paid layouts. There are number of rich features under paid layouts. Users also have the option of customizing the layouts according to their personal wishes. There are plenty of tools available for the user to download from the site and opt for the preferred layouts. The options provided are user-friendly. If the user does not find the tools to be in accordance with the preference, there are multiple options to change the preferences. The paid layouts have a number of options that are available in the form of license. Unlicensed layouts are also available, but they are not reliable like the paid layouts.
While building the layout, keep a check on the programs that have to be added on to the background. Too many programs on the background could slow down the account. Therefore, embed adequate number of codes in the layout before actually hosting the programs. Conduct a test run of the layout after installing the programs to identify any inbuilt faults.

A home away from home is a great thing, so why not have an office away from the office too?The spare room or a quiet corner can be a perfect place for productivity. To outfit your workspace, you might need to invest in some new hardware like a second computer, a bigger monitor or a high-quality printer. Once you’ve got your home computer set-up, you’ll need to connect it to the Internet or network it to other computers and peripherals in the house. With a good grasp of the facts and a firm idea of your work habits, you’ll be ready to make sensible choices for your home-made office.
The Computer. Not everyone needs the same level of performance in a home office computer. You might use your computer primarily for word processing and email which requires little processing power. On the other hand, you may want more power to run database analysis, large spreadsheets or graphics applications. The type of work you do and your work load will determine whether you need a computer with a lot of brawn or just a little.
Processor. A computer’s processor or central processing Unit (CPU) is the engine that powers the device. The speed of the processor is called the clock speed which measures how fast the processor can carry out instructions. Speed is measured in MegaHertz (MHz) and is one measure of a computer’s power. A typical home office Windows PC should have at minimum a 500 MHz processor. A power user would probably prefer 800 MHz or higher. If you know your computing needs are modest, and you want to save some money, an older machine with a slower processor is worth considering. When looking at an Apple Macintosh, keep in mind that you can’t simply compare processor speeds with Windows machines, as the two types of computers have different system designs. Macs generally have lower processor speeds in MHz but don’t let that fool you. Newer Macs like the iMac can definitely keep pace with PCs.
Random Access Memory (RAM). When the computer is turned on, RAM is used to hold the operating system, applications and data that you’re currently running. Information in RAM is rapidly available to the processor. When RAM fills up, the computer slows down because it now has to retrieve information from the slower hard drive. Imagine documents on your desk in front of you, readily at hand when you need them. But when your desktop is full, you have to file and retrieve documents elsewhere, which takes more time. The amount of RAM you need is influenced by the type of applications you use. Graphics programs like Adobe PhotoShop or Illustrator use a fair bit of memory. Word processing and spreadsheet programs use somewhat less memory. Users who like to multi-task and prefer having multiple applications running simultaneously will definitely want plenty of memory. More memory gives you a larger “workspace” and makes your computer perform faster with fewer glitches. A typical user needs at least 64 MB of RAM with 128 MB becoming the norm. In virtually all computers, you can expand the memory as you need more.
Hard Drive. This is the computer’s filing cabinet where all your applications and data are permanently stored. Most users can fit many years of productivity into a 6 to 10 GB hard drive. If you need to store a lot of information like several years of business records or image catalogues, then you may want a more spacious hard drive. Luckily, a bigger hard drive won’t cost you that much extra. Alternately, you could invest in a removable storage drive.
Expansion. It never hurts to get a system with room to grow, especially if you foresee your home office needs evolving. Find out how many RAM slots a system has and what the maximum amount of RAM is. Adding expansion cards to your system for 3D graphics or ethernet will increase the functionality of your computer. Look for a system with two or three free expansion slots and room for additional disk drives.

New iPod models have sprung up as quickly as mushrooms after the rain and each time they just seem to get better and better. I have to say though that this U2 special edition iPod just captured my heart the moment I saw it. Being very much a U2 fan, the fact that the back panel has the band members signatures engraved on it is enough reason in itself for it to be the best. The U2 iPod is easily recognizable from all the other models due to its style. While the others are usually white – or plain black in the case of some 5G models this babys black front panel and bright red click wheel is sure to stand out.
The U2 iPod is so much more than eye candy, though. Twenty gigabytes of storage may seem meager compared to the storage capacity of the newer models but believe me, it still translates to a lot of songs. I have had the iPod for a little over a year now and I still havent filled it up.
The U2 iPod has similar features as that of other iPods of its generation. It is so easy to use – all you need in order to do whatever you want with your songs is your thumb. Superior sound quality lets you enjoy all your favorite songs.
One drawback is the battery life. It is supposed to be able to play songs continuously for 12 hours. In my experience, it could be anywhere from 4-9 hours. Factors such as file size and playback options may be the reason for this. The lock button on the top of the iPod can help conserve battery. When not in use, you can lock it so that you wont accidentally run the battery down. Another concern is that the iPod gets scratched easily. Solution: get a case for protection.
Indeed, compared to the other models with their newer features, the U2 iPod is a bit expensive. If you think about it though, it has everything you need in an mp3 player unless its video youre after. I suppose the bottom line is whether you are enough of a U2 fan to splurge on it. Then again, even if you are not and you have enough cash to spend, the stand out look of the U2 iPod should be enough reason to get it for yourself.
