Wifi stands for wireless fidelity, recently wireless technology is being used extensively around the world. Everyone is connected to network and internet almost everywhere like home, office, library, hotel, school, airport, even in some restaurants.
So this wireless networking is called Wi-Fi or 802.11 networking as it covers IEEE 802.11 technologies. The biggest advantage of Wi-Fi is that it combines with almost every operating system, game device and advanced printer.

How Wifi Works:
Worldwide WiFi is becoming a preferred method of accessing Interney. To get such a connection, it is necessary to have a wireless adapter in your computer. Wi-Fi emits sound waves between 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz according to the amount of data available on the network to provide wireless connectivity.
The area where Wi-Fi connectivity is available is called hot-spot. To get the connection of hotspot or to locate it, you will need advanced software like Wirelesmon. To start a wireless connection, the first need is a wireless router. First connect the wireless router to the internet connection and then see if all the necessary settings are properly installed.
Like mobile phones, Wi-Fi networks use radio waves to exchange information in the network. The first step to install Wi-Fi is to install a wireless adapter in the computer which will transmit the data as a radio signal.
The same signal will be sent through the antenna to the decoder known as the router. Once decoded, that data will be sent to the Internet with the help of a wired Ethernet connection. The wireless adapter of the computer will then receive this radio signal.
802.11a transmit data at a frequency level of 5 GHz. The orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) used here divides the radio signal into smaller signals before reaching the router, thereby increasing data reception. At the same time, 802.11b transmit data at a frequency level of 2.4 GHz. It is relatively slow. Here you can transmit a maximum of 11 megabytes of data per second.
The wireless network transmit at a frequency level of 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz to convert the data that the user sends. As further explained, standard 802.11 networking depends to some extent on user needs.
Similarly 802.11g transmit data at a frequency level of 2.4 GHz. Because it uses OFDM coding, it can transmit data at a maximum speed of 54 megabytes per second. The comparatively more advanced 802.11n can transmit a maximum of 40 megabytes of data per second.
WPS Technology:
What is wps in jiofi WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) is a connection between a wireless device and a router. This technology will only work with wireless networks requiring passwords and security protocols encrypted with WPA Personal or WPA2. One thing to keep in mind is that if the wireless network is being used, the WPS security protocol is using WEP protection.
WPS is designed to simplify the process of connecting your device to a wireless network. With WPS, you can skip the process of entering the password. This makes everything easier because it will set up a wireless network with an SSID and a secure WPA data encryption and authentication.
