It is a package forwarding method and makes data forwarding decisions using labels, which are attached to every single packet. Each router has to follow these rules to do label switching instead of IP forwarding on a packet, by packet basis.
How Does It Work?
Packet Switching
Packet switching is flexible, whose data path is not fixed. Every single router slows down transmission by processing IP information. A Packet is opened by the first router and the IP address is read, then the packet is forwarded to the next router, the process occurs based on its routing protocols. Similarly, the next router follows the same process.
Before the IP packet is sent a prearranged route is established with it. Routers need to interpret the MPLS labels. Until the final destination, they never look at the destination IP address. Hence potentially faster transmission is offered by it.
MPLS corroborates communication covering the whole of Thailand via the internet. Private links for Branch Office, Head Office, and Datacenter are the services available.
